There is a private campground at Bedrock City where I worked and it has some great food for dining in and a grocery store. The people in this town are very friendly and look out for each other. The small airport puts on fantastic air shows and you can hop a ride on the Ford Old Trimotor airplane for $70.00 and get a birds eye view of the area. There is an airplane and car museum at the airport. You can snow ski in this area in the winter and go to the Colorado River about 200 miles away and water ski or play golf all in the same day. This area has some of the most diverse climate change within a 3 hour drive than anywhere in N or S America. Also if you have an address in this area The Grand Canyon National Park Service will give you an annual park sticker pass to put on your vehicle which is good for both the North and South rim. The South rim is accessible 24 hours a day through the whole year. There are lots of elk and deer in this area if you are a hunter. I saw elk at least 3 times a week during my stay there. Twenty miles to the north is Tusayan a town with many hotels, restaurants and other services. Many bands come to this town to play and they have some great partying and campfires to enjoy. The Grand Canyon is less than 30 miles away and they have everything to offer from banking, medical services, meat market, dining, RV parking and camping. A very awesome place to visit.
